The „Joy of Life” project was elected in 2006 “Best jazz album in Romania”. It blends jazz sounds, melodic and harmony elements of Romanian music with a Brazilian interpretation style, an incendiary mix ! The songs are both compositions of the group and standard jazz pieces carefully rearranged with exotic influences.

The group Urbango, established by Eduardo Baró, Argentine musician and composer, focuses on Argentine music, from the traditional tango to Astor Piazzolla’s “Tango Nuevo”, using chacarera, candombé or milonga rhythms. In 2007, they were part of the compilation “Le monde est un village” (the World is a village) of Didier Mélon and performed in “théâtre 140”.

Luxembourg bassist Marc Demuth and Portuguese singer Sofia Ribeiro (finalist of the Brussels International Young Jazz Singers 2006) have been developing an intense musical complicity.
The very uncommon instrumentation mixing clarinets with voice and sounds of the vibraphone made this band explore new paths and colours while mixing original compositions of Marc Demuth and Sofia Ribeiro with some arrangements of Brazilian standards.
