Mélanie Dahan (France)
Mélanie commence à chanter à 11 ans. Elle fait dès lors partie de différents spectacles musicaux.
Elle succombe au jazz en écoutant Nathalie Cole
et le fameux ‘“Unforgettable”...
Sans suivre de leçons, elle s’entoure de musiciens et donne avec succès son premier concert jazz
en 2001.

Mélanie was 11 toen ze begon te zingen. Zij trad op in verscheidene musicals and shows. Ze werd verliefd op jazz toen ze Natalie Cole hoorde zingen op haar plaat “Unforgettable”... Zonder enige jazzles ging ze toen op zoek naar muzikanten en trad voor het eerst op in oktober 2001.

Mélanie was 11 years old when she first started to sing. She performed in several musicals and shows on stage. She fell in love with jazz when she listened to Natalie Cole and her album “Unforgetable”... Then without taking any jazz lesson, she decided to look for musicians and to give a first gig in October 2001.

Karen Verresen (Belgique)
Karen est née en 1982. Elle gagne en 2000 le “Baccara Beker”.Elle fait partie des backing vocals de l’album “Out of Touch” de Nona Mez.Entretemps, elle décroche son diplôme de Masters en Media à l’Université de Louvain.A côté de sa passion pour le piano et le chant, elle écrit, dessine et peint.
Karen Verresen (België)
Zij werd geboren in 1982. In 2000 won ze de “Baccara Beker”. Ze stond in voor de backing vocals op het nieuwste Nona Mez-album, “Out of Touch”. Daarenboven behaalde zij een Master diploma in Media Studies aan de Katholieke Universiteit van Leuven. Naast piano en zang houdt ze ook van teksten schrijven, tekenen en schilderen.

Born in 1982. In 2000 she won a Belgian national singing contest “The Baccara Beker”. She did the backing vocals on the most recent Nona Mez-album, 'Out of Touch'. In addition, she received her Master's in Media Studies at the Catholic university of Leuven. Next to playing piano and singing she also loves to write lyrics, drawing, painting.

Jihye Lee (Corée du Sud)
Jihye Lee née en 1974. Elle a suivi le cours de jazz à la Jazz Academy de Séoul, et forme dès ce moment son propre band.Depuis 5 ans, elle étudie le jazz en Europe, où elle a décroché son diplôme de Bachelière à La Haye, dans les spécialités “mainstream” et “bebop” jazz. Actuellement, elle poursuit ses études jazz au Conservatoire de Bruxelles.
Jihye Lee (Zuid-Korea)
Jihye Lee werd geboren in 1974, is een Zuid-Koreaanse zangeres. Ze volgde jazzles aan de Jazz Academie in Seoel, Zuid-Korea. In die periode vormde ze haar eigen band. Sedert vijf jaar volgt ze nu ook jazzles in Europa. Ze behaalde het bachelor diploma in Den Haag, waar ze mainstream jazz en bebop studeerde. Tegenwoordig studeert ze aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel.
Jihye Lee (South Korea)
Jihye Lee, a South Korean singer, was born in 1974. She started to learn jazz at the Seoul Jazz Academy in South Korea. In the same period she formed her own band. Since five years she has been studying jazz in Europe. She obtained a bachelor degree in The Hague, where she studied mainstream jazz and bebop. At the present she’s studying at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels.

Norbert Kögging (Pays-Bas)
Norbert, né à Zwolle (Hollande), de nationalité allemande, a 26 ans. Il a étudié au Conservatoire Artez de Swolle avec Norbert Douglas. Pendant ses études, il prit part à de nombreux workshops et masters classes, notamment avec Nancy Marano, Sylvie Lane et Adrienne West. En mai 2007, il reçut le Prix « Jeunes Talents » au Festival international de Enschede.

Norbert Kögging is een 26-jarige vocalist uit Zwolle. Hij studeerde aan het Artez Conservatorium in Zwolle, waar Ronald Douglas zijn leraar was. Tijdens zijn studies nam Norbert deel aan tal van workshops en master classes met verscheidene vocalisten zoals Nancy Marano, Sylvie Lane en Adrienne West. In mei 2007 ontving hij een prijs als jong talent op het Internationaal Jazz Festival van Enschede.

Norbert Kögging is a 26 years old vocalist from Zwolle, studied at the Artez Conservatory in Zwolle where Ronald Douglas was his teacher. Helin-Mari Arder (Estonie)
Helin-Mari est née en 1974 en Estonie, et est déjà considérée comme l’une des chanteuses représentatives de son pays. Ses racines se trouvent dans la musique classique (violon, chant et musique de scène pour enfants). Meilleure chanteuse au Nõmme Jazz Festival (2001), elle fut invitée au Pori Jazz Festival en Finlande. Depuis, elle est régulièrement invitée à des Festivals, dont Montreux. Elle a enregistré son 3ème CD en décembre 2005.
Helin-Mari Arder (Estland)
Helin-Mari Arder werd geboren in 1974 in Estland. Vandaag wordt ze beschouwd als een van de beste jonge jazz zangeressen van haar land. Haar roots liggen in de klassieke muziek en ze begon haar muziekstudies met viool en zang in koren en kindermuziektheater. Ze werd genomineerd tot beste jazz zanger in het Nõmme Jazz Festival (2001) en werd vervolgens uitgenodigd door het Pori Jazz Festival (Finland). Sedertdien nam ze deel aan meerdere festivals in Estland, Finland en Zwitserland (Montreux) en nam in december 2005 haar derde CD op.
Helin- Mari Arder (Estonia)
Helin-Mari Arder was born in 1974 in Estonia. By now she is considered one of the most outstanding young Estonian jazz singers. Her roots are in classical music as she started her music studies playing the violin, singing in choirs and in children’s music theatre. After receiving a nomination for the best jazz singer at the Nõmme Jazz Festival (2001) Helin-Mari was invited to the Pori Jazz Festival (Finland). Since then she has participated at various festivals in Estonia, Finland and Switzerland (Montreux) and has recorded her third CD in December 2005.

Brigitte Beraha (Turquie)
Brigitte est née à Milan en 1977, a vécu dans le Sud de la France jusqu’en 1996, date à laquelle elle vient vivre à Londres. En 2001, elle obtient son diplôme de musique au Goldsmith College de Londres. Elle y donne actuellement cours de chant et d’improvisation jazz. Elle décroche aussi en 2002 le Jazz Postgraduate Course au prestigieux Guildhall School of Music. Elle a été distinguée notamment par Kenny Wheeler et Rufus Reid.

Brigitte werd geboren in 1977 in Milaan en woonde geruime tijd in het zuiden van Frankrijk vooraleer ze in 1996 naar Londen verhuisde. In 2001 behaalde zij een muziekdiploma aan het Goldsmiths College in Londen, waar ze nu Jazz Improvisatie en Vocal Workshops geeft. In 2002 voltooide Brigitte de Jazz Postgraduate Course aan de prestigieuze Guildhall School of Music. Na enkele jaren verblijf in het VK trok ze reeds de aandacht van Kenny Wheeler en Rufus Reid.

Sacha Boutros (USA)
Sacha est née il y a 28 ans aux Etats-Unis. Elle s’accompagne au piano, et a déjà pu se produire en compagnie de Julio Iglesias, Marvin Hamlisch, Chuchito Valdes, Karrin Allyson, James Moody, Kay Star, Patty Paige, Red Holloway en Herb Jeffries…Elle fut aussi, il a plus longtemps, présentée dans le show de Frankie Laine. Elle compose, et chante dans
5 langues.
Sacha Boutros (VSA)
Sacha werd 28 jaar geleden geboren in de VSA. Zij zingt en speelt piano. Zij had het genoegen te mogen optreden met artiesten zoals Julio Iglesias, Marvin Hamlisch, Chuchito Valdes, Karrin Allyson, James Moody, Kay Star, Patty Paige, Red Holloway en Herb Jeffries… en ook, vele jaren geleden, geïntroduceerd te worden als de ingénue van Frankie Laine. Zij zingt in vijf talen en is ook componiste.

Patrycja Kuncelman (Pologne)
Patrycja est née à Gdansk en 1979 et poursuit sa carrière musicale depuis maintenant 16 années. Depuis 1988, elle étudie le piano à l’Université de Gdansk. Son répertoire est très divers, allant des standards de jazz à la musique pop.
Elle a en Pologne son propre trio-jazz.

Jazz zangeres Patrycja Kuncelman werd geboren in 1979 in Gdansk, Polen. Haar artistiek werk in de muziekwereld begon 16 jaar geleden. Vanaf 1988 studeerde zij 10 jaar lang piano aan de Muziekschool van Gdansk. Patrycja is een vocaliste met een divers repertoire, gaande van standaard jazz tot pop. Zij heeft ook een eigen trio met piano, zang en double bass.

Patrycja Kuncelman is a jazz singer born in 1979 in Gdansk, Poland. Her artistic work as entertainment musician began 16 years ago. From 1988 and for 10 years she learned piano at the School of Music in Gdansk. Patrycja is a vocalist with diverse repertoire ranging from standard jazz to pop. She also has her own trio including piano, voice and double bass.

Sabine Kühlich (Allemagne)
Née en Allemagne de l’Est, Sabine aime le jazz bien avant la chute du Mur... Elle étudie au Conservatoire d’Amsterdam, à la Manhattan School of Music de
New York et enregistre à cette époque, en 2006, un de ses CD. Elle part ensuite en tournée avec la légendaire SHEILA JORDAN la même année. Jazz Podium l’appelée "one of Germanys outstanding Jazz-Singers - with Swing and phantasy”. Elle a commencé à enseigner l’année dernière au Conservatoire de Maastricht.

Tijdens haar verblijf in New York in 2006 bracht zij een CD uit met vooral eigen composities. Daarna volgden twee tournees met de legendarische SHEILA JORDAN. De krant Jazz Podium noemde haar “one of Germany’s outstanding Jazz-Singers - with swing and phantasy”. Vorig jaar begon ze les te geven aan het Conservatorium van Maastricht.
Sabine Kühlich (Germany)
Sabine Kühlich was born in Eastern Germany, started to love jazz before the wall came down. Later she studied at the Amsterdam Conservatory, spend half a year during her Masters-Education at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. One CD with mostly own compositions from this NY-time was put out in 2006 - followed by two tours with the Jazz-Legend Sheila Jordan: TWO GENERATIONS OF SINGERS. The newspaper Jazzpodium called her to be "one of Germanys outstanding Jazz-Singers - with Swing and phantasy”. Last year she started teaching at the Conservatory Maastricht.

Mark Brignone (USA)
Né aux Etats-Unis il y a 33 ans, Mark s’est produit dans de nombreux jazz-clubs, notamment au Birdland de New-York. Il est reconnu pour son style à la fois simple et plein d’émotion. En 2003, il produit un CD indépendant “Kid of the Moon”.
Il mène aussi plusieurs shows, notamment avec une troupe de 14 professionnels.

Mark werd 33 jaar geleden geboren in de VSA, trad op in nachtclubs in tal van steden doorheen de VS, waaronder “Birdland” in NYC. Mark is gekend voor zijn eenvoudige en doorleefde stijl. In 2003 bracht hij een onafhankelijke jazz plaat uit “Kid the Moon”. Hij was ook leading man in talrijke volwaardige shows en stond aan het hoofd van een groep van14 beroepszangers en -dansers.

Kiki Manders (Pays-Bas)
Née dans un univers très musical à Venlo il à 23 ans, Kiki entre au Conservatoire d’Amsterdam, et y décroche son diplôme l’année dernière. Sa voix est chaude, pure et pétillante et ses modèles sont Carmen McRae, Lambert, Hendricks and Ross, Tierney Sutton, Mel Tormé.
En septembre, Kiki débute le Master of Music au Conservatoire d’Amsterdam.
